Last month I cut cable TV and installed an HD Antenna and very happy with quality and the available channels.
With my HD antenna I get 45+ channels. Broadcasters have one main channel for older antennas but have up to multiple HD sub-channels. This is just $35 on Amazon. Would use existing cabling, just would replace your antenna and add a decoder box but no monthly fees.

I was amazed to see that the picture quality was as good as cable, many of the sub-channels play old shows like McHale’s Navy, Bewitched, Star Trek, Dr Who, and many others.
